A unique way to
experience the mountains is by llama trek. Llama trekking companies
offer guide service, camping gear, food and gentle llamas to carry the
equipment. These friendly relatives of the camel are sure-footed and capable of
carrying loads of up to 90 pounds. They are also kind to the trails and do much
less damage than would horses.
