   Team ECCO Aquarium & Shark Lab is the only public aquarium in Western North Carolina and is also a children's educational center for ocean awareness, with exhibits and small aquariums focusing on marine life. The mission of Team ECCO is to promote scientific discovery through interactive learning encounters that develop understanding and respect for water based ecosystems. This mission is designed to foster stewardship, develop leadership, and build friendship - all skills critical to team work.
