Located in Franklin and established in 1980, Perry’s Water Gardens is a wholesale-retail aquatic plant nursery by Perry D. Slocum and is known for shipping high quality mature plants. Perry’s Water Garden also has the country’s largest collection of aquatic gardens and is a major tourist attraction. Perry Slocum created over 147 ponds on 13 acres featuring exotic sunken gardens highlighted with old fashioned antique rose beds and other above-ground flowers. Naturalized grass and dirt paths meander throughout. In addition to the multitude of iris, water lilies, and lotus, the gardens are home to thousands of brightly colored koi and goldfish. If you love flowers and gardens, this center is a must!
