Penland Gallery at Penland School of Crafts

   The Penland Gallery, located at the Penland School of Crafts, features work by artists affiliated with the school. The Penland School of Crafts is a national center for craft education dedicated to helping people live creative lives. The school offers one-, two-, and eight-week workshops in books & paper, clay, drawing, glass, iron, metals, photography, printmaking and letterpress, textiles, and wood.
     Tours of the Penland School are available on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 1:30 p.m., however reservations are required.

Directions: From Asheville take 19/23 North and get off at exit 9 towards Burnsville/Spruce Pine. Continue on US 19 for approximately 16 miles. Turn left at NC 1160 Rabbit Hop Road then take first right onto NC 1162 Penland Road. Turn left at Bailey's Peak Road.
