   Located in the heart of downtown Asheville on Pack Square, the Pack Place Education, Arts & Science Center is a marvelous combination of science, arts, culture and entertainment all under one roof. This 92,000 square-foot complex boasts museums, performance spaces, courtyards, exhibition and lobby galleries, as well as a permanent exhibit “Here is the Square” which traces the story of Asheville from its earliest days.

Pack Place Attractions and Organizations:

The Asheville Art Museum annually presents an exciting, inviting and active schedule of exhibitions and public programs based on its permanent collection of 20th and 21st century American art.

The Colburn Earth Science Museum exhibits include the Hall of Minerals which features many of the museum's primary collection of more than 4,500 specimens from around the world and, the museum's gem collection, which includes over 1,000 cut gemstones from around the world.

The Diana Wortham Theatre presents live performances of music, theatre and dance throughout the year by nationally touring artists as well as a wide array of performances by professional and  regional arts groups.

The Health Adventure, is a health and science museum for children and today's families dedicated to improving health awareness, promoting wellness lifestyles, and increasing science literacy through programs and exhibits.

The mission of the YMI Cultural Center is to celebrate African American culture & diversity in the community. The center showcases gallery exhibitions that emphasize diversity in cultural heritage.
