The North Carolina School for the Deaf Historical Museum is located in Morganton on the campus of the school for the deaf and is run by the Historic Rusmisell Museum Society. The museum contains yearbooks, scrapbooks, histories, photographs and other artifacts documenting the school and its community since its founding in 1894.
