Franklin Gem & Mineral Museum

     Housed in the historic old jail (circa 1850) of Macon County, the Franklin Gem and Mineral Museum has many fascinating exhibits concerning North Carolina gems and minerals. On display is a 2¼ pound ruby along with other fascinating stones.
