Maintained by the Henderson County Parks and Recreation Department, there are seven parks total over 259 acres of playing fields, recreation facilities, woodland and playgrounds. The Parks and Recreation Department also sponsors special events that include The March for Parks Bicycle Tour, Easter Egg Hunt, Four Seasons Senior Games, Fourth of July Festivities, Farm-City Day and Halloween Fest. Established in 1974, is located conveniently near downtown Hendersonville, and covers 212 acres in Henderson County. The parks' facilities include 4 picnic shelters, 9 baseball fields, cross country courses for local middle and high schools, soccer fields, 8 tennis courts, a BMX track, playgrounds, and many walking trails, providing a central location for many community sports and activities. The park is home to several species of birds, wildlife, and plants, making the park a great place to observe nature. Jackson Park is noted for its great bird watching also.

Edneyville Park Hwy. 64, Edneyville NC
Located behind Edneyville Volunteer Fire Department about ten miles from downtown Hendersonville, this four-acre park has 2 tennis courts, 1 basketball court, a well-equipped children’s playground, a picnic area, and restrooms.

East Flat Rock Park US 176 & East Blue Ridge Road, East Flat Rock NC 28726.
The facilities at East Flat Rock Park include a large shelter, gazebo, grills, restroom, playground, swings, walking trail, playing field, and basketball court.

Etowah Park Located behind the Etowah Elementary School on Etowah School Road, Etowah NC.
Etowah Park’s facilities include a shelter, picnic tables, playground, a walking trail, tennis courts, baseball fields, a soccer field and shuffleboard court, with a Frisbee golf course planned.

Dana Park Upward Rd., Dana NC
Approximately eight miles from downtown Hendersonville, this six-acre park  offers a community building, and picnic shelter, which are both available for rent. The park also has swings, a grill, and a playing field.

Stoney Mountain Activity Center  800 Stoney Mountain Rd., Hendersonville NC 28791. 828-697-4900. The Stoney Mountain Activity Center provides a center for many activities and classes – Summer Day Camp, ballet, scrapbooking, karate, square dancing, clogging, line dancing, and more!

Westfeldt Park US Highway 280 & Fanning Bridge Road, Fletcher NC 28732.
Open year road, river access, canoe landing ramp, and an open recreation area are found at this park.
