   Asheville is a shopping mecca for antique lovers from all over the world. Here they can stroll through antique shops conveniently grouped in two different parts of town (Lexington Avenue District and Biltmore Village) or visit often larger antique “malls” sprinkled throughout the city. Visitors can also attend auctions that sell “country” items on up to top-of-the-line pieces.
   Asheville is also home to the annual Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa's Arts & Crafts Conference and Antique Show held the third weekend in February. This three-day show is a major stop for serious antique collectors and involves tours, seminars, discussion groups, books and antiques for sale.
